FI gurus!!!
The best oil would be a synthetic type V double ester based oil like Motul 300V. It's mega expensive.
The next best would be a type IV or type IV/V blend as in most Amsoil products, most Motul products. Mobil 1, Redline, and Royal Purple.
Stay away from type III synthetics such as Valvoline, Penzoil, Quakerstate, Castol. They are dino based oils and have undesireable contaminants such as sulphur.
I use 10W 40 weight all year round. San from GT Motorsports has recomended I use 10W30 in my new forged motor. I will be making the change.

We use these oils in our engines.
http://www.forgedperformance.com/store/home.php?cat=279
Motul 300V for the extreme power/use engines, or for customers that what the absolute best oil on the planet. It works out to $13/qt
Motul 8100 on the more moderate buildups. about $8/qt
I've always prefered a slightly higher viscosity oil for turbo, high rev, or high power applications. Porsche feels the same way.

When we sent you the oil, we hadnt begun carrying the 300V because we didnt think customers would pay $26 for a two qt can. Turns out it has become our best seller. The 8100 is still on par or better than Royal Purple, Redline..etc..etc.
