Default Help??

Well after spending money on a new engine management system the car is doing the same thing. I encountered this problem about 2 weeks ago when the car was starting throwing Random misfire codes, idling really rough , misfiring, and dying when I come to a stop. I have the aps tt setup and have had no problems to date with this. I recently comp checked the motor and that made 180psi on all cyclinders. I sold my uni-chip thinking that was the cause and now after buying a new Utec the problem is still there. I checked the injectors for resistance last night, replaced the sparks plugs, replaced belts. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be going on here??? The weird thing is when I plug the stock ecu in the car runs fine. Even when I turn the map to 0 which is the stock map on the utec the car runs fine but when I change it to the aps map on the utec the car does the same as the uni-chip... !@#$%^&*!@#$%^&$%^&

Who tuned your UTEC? Or are you just using the base map?

aps Base map but keep in mind the car has ran fine up until about 2 weeks ago with the uni-chip. What would cause it to start running rough and throw codes all of the sudden but work fine on the stock factory map??? I'm thinking fuel pressure?? And now with a Brand new utec the car is doing the same thing....

Regarding dying when coming to a stop and rough idle:

What is your idle at? Probably needs a bump.

The idle is around around 750 and then dips down almost dying. Now I already know most z's have this same problem but in this situation it is much worse. I wonder if the idle can be raised with the utec..?? But also keep in ind when I plug the stock ecu back in or have the utec map on 0 which is the stock map the car idles and runs just fine..

It needs a true tune. I think we covered this in the other thread.

Your right is does need to be tuned but what would make the unipchip map just stop working along with the base aps tt utec map and the stock map work fine? It just doesn't make sense whats going on.. Any other thoughts are welcome..

What numbers do you have in the zero column on the UTEC? Do you have an AFR gauge? What does it say at idle?
