Is it like that all the time? I'll admit my oil pressure is high when I first start the car and its cold. But once the car is warmed up I never see oil pressure approaching those numbers at those times.

My car is kinda OOC right now until I get a Built motor from Santa so I cant answer that specifically all I know is that I would warm up at about 45 and under WOT be in the 80 area.

I talked with Sharif about the problem, and he said he had seen a few break off as well.

Redline.... is your turbo leaking oil as well?

I guess I'll ask Sharif about it then. If Sharif didn't post it and no one else did theres no way for me to know about it.

As for the oil pressure, what weight oil are you running? Same to you redline. I've run 5W-30, 10W30, and 15W30 and my oil pressure has never changed...

I'll ask Sharif about that too tomorrow. If the weight was too much it would cause excessively high oil pressure which would murder seals all day long...

i use 10w30 full synthetic...

and yo Jet, realx man, no need to see you and turran take "jabs" at each other... its pointless... I think we are all away for your problems but i have rearly seen any trouble with turbonetics kit at all, but here on the forums, specially since you are pretty known, when someone post something everybody seems to jump on things really quick and make conclusions real fast, so its fair what turrans said. You got the turbo at turbonetics and they are looking at it and we are all here trying to help you, even with my limited knowledge i am trowing ideas and hopin for the best for you man, no need to get mad and start the bashing game, when tons of other users have had no problems with this kit at all, cuase you know how this forums work...they are a bunch of sheeps here, they jsut follow.

Mia, just for some more info. When I start my car my oil pressure is 100-120. After it warms up wot 60-70 psi at idle 15-20 psi. I run 10/40 now and ran 5/30 before FI with the same results. These readings are from the stock gauge non rev motor.

As far as I know, my up-pipe is fine. I saw the broken one at Forged Perf. I guess that was Jet's. IIRC, all 3 tabs were gone and when they broke off, it left (3) 1.5" long openings in the pipe.

OK so we are back to Jets car as the only one I have heard about. Could the added weight on the Turbosmart 48 have caused it? The pipe wasn't designed to be cut, welded, and have a 48mm wastegate hung off it.... I'm not saying thats the cause but its possible...

for some reason, I think jet has the wastegate mounted to the "Y" pipe, not the up-pipe. I remember see pics online, and I thought he had an extension welded onto the "y" pipe. I could be totally wrong though!. :-)

I have the wastegate mounted to the y-pipe. No that wasn't my pipe at Forged. I removed the kit here at my house and only sent him the good up-pipe.

I see...well I don't really know what it could be honestly. Like I said this is the first time i hear of it. I guess i'll have to crawl under the car and see what potential reasons there are...

Its an aftermarket FI car. Sh*t breaks. I'm surprised we aren't all used to it by now (even though mine never breaks).

MIA... were you able to talk to anyone today about switching to a smaller oil line and fitting?

Thanks
