I would go with the obvious first and check the BOV and the Intercooler for leaks under pressure.

Todd have you jsut tryed to put the stock intake manifold back on instead of the kinetics?

we are very talented (wait a second, that sounds bad )

no really, the BOV responded to sucking pressure from the mouthal region

I'm gonna dive in deeper and figure it out, just figured that in the meanwhile, while not able to work on it today, I'd get all of your feedback for the battle tomorrow!

Thanks MRC, appreciate all of your feedback!

Hey Todd my stock manifold is burried somewhere in my garage from the move. I don't think it could be the SSV after its been working fine for over a year. Did you get a chance to swap the plugs. I should have brought it home so I could change them. Also it seems like its boosting up high because I kept up with that turbo G. The bogging is only down low.

Jason, I am virtually smacking you in the face It is NOT THE PLUGS!!!

It is not building boost!!!! Your Defi, worn out boost gauge spikes and jumps up to 4psi when it tries to boost, but when monitoring on the much more accurate MAP sensor while datalogging with the UTEC, it makes a whopping 0.7psi..this is not a plug problem (I will chnage them as well after the boost issue is figured out, I havent had a chance to get over to the shop today, but planning on it tonight)

Call me and let me know if you work tonight

so you just allow full pressure to rush through the system? I was thinking of hooking up a valve that I could adjust how much pressure was introduced into the system, but great tool nonetheless! thanks for sharing..looks dangerous

I assume you just attach it with a silicone hose and a hose clamp?

Have you taken off the mains serpentine belt and hit all the pulleys with some sand paper? The belt sounds like it is slipping to me..Try that first..That F'er has to be pretty tight..

I was thinking about swaping that too but the car was running rich as hell and smelled like unburnt fuel.

Thats probably because the SS box dumping fuel based on RPM and the boost that is normally there, is not there now, cause your belt is slipping or your leaking boost..

Yup, seems like we know the fix for alot of stuff, since we have experienced it all on our own cars..Problem is, we never get enough praise on these boards..guess we need to get a crew of Nutswingers to start a big thanks thread every time we answer a phonecall.. Like some other sponsors..

With the Vortech Bypass Valve it should be closed if you pull it off. If you suck on the vacuum tube on top it will then open.

So if you are saying that you blew into it and it closed then this is your problem. Cause the bypass should be closed if nothing is hooked up to it.

If you don't feel its the bypass you might want to check your fuel pressure. If you are running to rich or lean it will cause you not to be able to build up boost.

Todd, I know you said the bov is working through mouthal stumli, can you pull the vacuum line off the bov, and see if it is even sending the correct amount of vacuum or not to the bov under throttle on and throttle off?
