So if you are saying that you blew into it and it closed then this is your problem. Cause the bypass should be closed if nothing is hooked up to it.
If you don't feel its the bypass you might want to check your fuel pressure. If you are running to rich or lean it will cause you not to be able to build up boost.

we rigged up a "weapon of mass destruction" to detect a boost leak, plugged it in before the intercooler, tiny little leaks, nothing big, fixed those, manifold fine, still not making boost, gonna tighten the belt in a few hrs, if that doesnt work, then pull the intake manifold and inspect the lower plenum.
Thanks guys

could the blower just flat out be bad? Maybe something inside of it is loose and the blade just loosely spinning with no real force
seems like if that blower was working fine, there'd be lots of boost
would a leak be enough to let 8 lbs of pressure completely slip through - and especailly not make some piercing loud whistling sound? Otherwise it'd have to be large leak I'd think

When I had a leak, every time I let off the gas during high revs, it would make a piercing whistle sound like sentry said, and it was a small leak. The clamp on the intake manifold pipe wasn't tight enough. How could you possibly be leaking 8 lbs of boost and not hear it? Doesn't sound right...

Even if it was the lower plenum that was leaking . Wouldnt you think you could hear it leaking ???

I completely blocked off the BOV, removing it from the equation, to no avail! BOV does not affect the scenario...we hooked up the "weapon" before the intercooler, because it fit easier...this was after the BOV was ruled out..
blower is out, boxed up and in transit back to Vortech!
Thanks guys for all the effort
