Default Best Headers with vortech??

Ok, I have Kinetix RTP's, Kinetix Manifold, HKS Exhaust, Vortech SC w/ 3.12 pulley.... I am looking at getting headers now... Will adding headers help out my TQ #'s as well as my WHP? Or will adding more breathing mods hurt the TQ?

Thanks!

Also which headers are the best for Vortech? I know Crawford are great but I do not want to remove the motor to install them...

Thanks!

I only found 2 threads with "vortech" and "headers" in the title

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....eaders+vortech

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....eaders+vortech

Since I'm also interested in this question, maybe we shouldn't be too quick to throw the search button at Triji

Edit: added "with vortech" to the title to try to get better opinions

any headers will work the same. The ebay T-pro have given great results for n/a and its cheap. The install is the what cost the most.

headers will help but i don't know if the $$$ to hp ratio makes sense. if you have the money then do it! i know the strup headers are pretty good for the money...same with DC

I heard the DC headers were pretty good and I was leaning that way... I would love to get the Crawfords but the install would be a huge PITA and I dont have a motor puller in my garage.

I do not want to sacfrifice any TQ though (especially down low) and with all my breathing mods already on the car I would hate to make that mistake as it would be an expensive one...

Back to searching...

As far as headers go, doesn't matter if you have the Vortech or not. You will just want to find the best performing headers on the N/A motor since a S/C is not exhaust driven.

If your running the vortech s/c, is replacing the headers a necessity? Or can you run the stock headers with the vortech?

Just make sure they are equal length headers . And you'll be fine with the choice you make

Thanks for the replies guys.... I am now 90% on going with the Crawfords now. I don't want to "settle" and wonder "what if"... Ya know what I mean? I am looking at doing the 4.2 stroker so I can install the headers when I get stroked.

headers are expensive anyway and the install is a *****. I'd go for the best you can get if you're gonna do it (crawford)
