last time it was squeeling like that they checked the belt and it was pretty damn tight. tightened it up slightly and the noise went away for about 2 weeks and just started again. Its not squeeling unless the car has been left overnight, but when i say loud its loud. But goes away by the time I get up my street. My neighbors love it.

Pick my ProCharged G up from SGP tomorrow with the volve body done. Mine has always lagged before 3.5 - 4K and then you can REALLY tell something is different... Maybe its SGPs tuning?

Do you get a slight squeal when doing slow parking-lot-style turning from the power steering? I also had this a lil bit and I think it was due to a loose belt, this also went away when properly tensioned.

No, I never had the squeel while slowing down, or turning while going slow. Only the mornings same as you. Hmmm, odd. Is it hard to tighten the belt yourself. You just need to jack up the front of the car and tighten it from underneath right?

Yah, but I have an FX35 though.
You can see the tensioner in the middle. Just loosen that bolt directly on the tensioner, 14mm socket, and then directly below it there's a 12mm, lefty-loosy/righty-tighty as far as tensioning the belts goes. After you tighten down on the 12mm from the bottom, re-tighten the 14mm on the actual tensioner pulley itself.
I don't know if you guys have any sort of cover down there like you see in my picture, but I've had mine off ever since installing the charger and it'll eventually go back on when everything's broken in and tuned.
When stock I could roll underneath and do jumping jacks under there, but with Eibach's and some ridiculously thin side-wall (went a lil too thin IMO), it's a tight fit.
(point being: jacking it up would be a wise idea :P)

athenG, I didn't mean to come off sounding insulting if I did. I suppose some cars with Vtec to come on smooth. When I think Vtec, I think of the honda S2000 or civic type R where the Vtec kicks in harder than it does on a regular civic.
I see what you're saying though, but the Z's engine is just so much bigger and the vortech comes on strong around 4k rpms instead of 6200 rpms
