Default turbo and nitrous

I've read allot of threads about ppl trying to max out their Single turbo setups with built blocks. and are coming short but has anyone thought about adding nitrous on top of the turbo?..if u think about it a st setup maxed out is more than good enough to beat most cars but if u ever need that extra power u can just spray. if u have a built block and cant get any more power out of the ST and ur motor can handle more i think nitrous would be a great addition. I stared this thread to see what other people have to say about this and their opinions.

Most people are maxing out their single turbos that were not designed for the power levels they are trying to make. Both ST kits out there were designed to run between 360 and 400 WHP. Neither turbo or setup was designed to make over 500 WHP. With a system designed to make 500+ RWHP there should be no issues making that and then some..

only systems desighned for 500+rwhp are the tt setups and suposedly turbonetics new st setup. but theres still ppl out there that already have the kits and dont want to switch to tt or stage 2, and want to go to the 550+ 600 hp levels thats why i started this to see if they thought about nitrous or if its even doable or done before.

If its an issue of airflow and backpressure on the turbine side of the turbo then nitrous may help somewhat but if the air can't get it out you aren't going to make much more power.

better has coated pistons if you are planning on spraying, and turbo, but those people who have the built motor to support such would be able to afford the upgrade to a better system! If anything I would think that a IC sprayer would be a good idea, this is why I hanging onto my NOS bottle and am having it painted body color.

however IC sprayer is a crutch as well you can get just as much out of Meth Injection if not more.

With the small downpipe size it would be a very bad idea to run nitrous. If you had say a 3.5" downpipe it would be fine. Nitrous increases cylinder pressure a ton so you make way more exhaust. But 25 shot of nitrous on forced induction will be like 75hp at the wheels
