Default Blown motor, and need advice.

Alright, I have a TN ST kit on now, w/utec, 550 cc injectors, aam return fuel system, ssv intake, apexi, exhaust.

Was planning on going built motor in a couple of months, unfortunatly my engine had other plans. I spun a rod bearing. I hadn't run the engine long enough to do damage to my cylinder walls. But now for the question, or advice on other options.

Was looking to do an engine build from a shop around here now, and thats it. Take the TN kit off and run it w/out any turbo, or ssv. Sell the SSV, and TN kit, but keep the other supporting mods. CAN THIS BE DONE. In a couple of months when I have the cash, most likely after the holidays, I will buy a TT kit to go on.

Since I already have alot of the parts needed for high whp, all I will need to do is install the kit myself, since thats not too difficult. Then get it tuned.

Anybody with some knowledge, give me advice. Is this the wrong route to take, is there a better way. The main reason for doing the buid now is this is my daily driver for now and I need the car.

Lastly, if anyone knows they will be getting rid of their TT kit let me know.

You have to be aware of your piston's CR. NA and FI do not share the same CR.

you can still drive around NA with a lower CR such as 9.5:1 or even 9.0:1 it is not going to hurt a thing.

Yeah, I am aware of the different CR, I plan on going with 9.1. I just need to know if I can run it like this, I havn't heard of anyone doing this.

Okay, so I can run the CR, the power loss is fine cause it will be going back to FI soon.

How many miles did you have the kit and what boost were you running before it went?

I had about 7k miles and the boost was set to 8.5psi, but would spike to 11 sometimes depending on air temps and altitude. The only thing is that I'm not positive the engine is done, but if it is I'm not gonna chance it and run the engine and score my cylinders. Plus I wat a bottom end build anyway. Then I'll find out exactly what happened when they rip the motor apart.

Just tapping that sounded like it was deep in the engine. But quite frankly, even if its not done for I still want a built motor for the peice of mind, you know.
