even if the boost controller was shut off completely...150hp at 6000rpm is less than a stock NA vq35 motor... how is that possible? that dyno must be on crack..or they let off way early

 

You're still measuring the torque plot to the HP scale. On the first graph it's making ~ 325 ft/lbs of torque and 375 hp at 6000 rpms.

 

Yeah, the scale is what threw me. It looks like the trq is dropping off radically, but its just the scaling on the chart. It always makes for a prettier chart if the scales on both axis's are identical.

Hey, I have a utec already and am having vrt do a bottom end build and a JWT kit soon. I saw that you said the split second isn't as good as the utec, should I just keep my utec then.

 

Utec is just something I wanna go with. It is by no means required. I just wanna try something new.

 

where you even considering going from the UTEC to the SS box?

Yeah, I was originally thinking about it cause I know its all in one kit and then I can just sell the utec and buy more parts for my car.

These are nice numbers, yet the 700s are nicer.

The scaling still does not change the fact that at 1500rpms, his TQ is near 150, then at 3700 rpms he hits peak TQ of 503, then falls back off to near 150 ft lbs again at 6000 rpms. So basicaly the TQ rises and falls over 350% in 2000 rpms, then falls another 350% in another 3500 rpms. Not to mention all of the JWT dynos I have seen have somehow magically changes the peak tq the motor produces from 4800rpms to 3700 rpms..Am I the only one that finds this odd??
