Default emange install in process, have question

Installing the greddy e manage blue, anyone know what the small black box with wiring coming from it is for? Doesn't say anything about it in the manual. The instructions that came w it are in japanese but I have a copy of the TT install and nowhere in their either. Anyone know what this black box is? thx

that is the RPM signal adapter.

if you go to greddy.com you can download the instructions for the turbo kit. in the back of the instructions is where the wiring information is, and it covers that device there. IIRC each yellow goes to each coil wire, the black is ground, and the brown is the RPM signal output (which you run to the Emanage RPM input). but definatly double check that.

Good memory...that is correct. Probably been a while since any of us have wired up one of these bad boys!

I am pretty sure that you dont need the RPM adapter for either application if you get the RPM signal somewhere else. Where does the manual for the Apexi SAFC say to get RPM signal in our cars? I am sure whatever pin that says to use will work?

You dont need the RPM adaptor for the EU. It should pick it up via ignition wire, or via crank angle sensor input. YOu have to select the pickup in parameters.

I'm using a similar "black box" for my EU to correct the injector pulse width outputs... I think it's called injector adapter #2

without it, the thing runs richer than a beverly hills b1tch

I just want to wire it up and get it going. I have an appointment to get a tune on the 11th. It's all Greek to me. My cousin will be the one wiring it up for me. I am going to upgrade to the UTEC in the near future.
