I wouldn't call the resale bad....when you think about it. an 03 can be barely had for 19-20k now with decent miles.

I can't imagine the mods price will decrease......that's not how the market works in this case (at least with imports)

I doubt that the resale value of the car, any car, will impact the price of turbos and supercharger kits. However, I see the cost of FI being reduced somewhat when the competition increases; the basic FI kit/package with the basic fuel management system, at least.

In retrospect, I anticipate the total cost of FI will appreciate (rather than depreciate) with technology; as the EMS is key, in order to optimize on the boost levels. These management systems with time might get cheaper, but there'll always be the next best. And, with higher efficiency & performance, the engine rebuilding issue will rear its head to be fed

All new cars take a bigger hit in resale value, except some like Mercedes Benz & Ferrari, to name a few; at lease 20% to 30%

Aftermarket, modifications decreases the value more than anything else, especially when installing turbos, even in the case of Mercedes Benz & Ferraris. With, superchargers, one could get away with, as they can be removed without much evidence.
