If you are running a EMS like the Vpro, you are going to have to have a pro certed shop install/tune it, so they should be able to handle it.

I have it on my car. it is something I know is supposed to be used for tuning, and after that, it isn't 100% nessessary, but the Fcon uses it to constantly monitor AFRs and Knock.

Version 3.24 can communicate with older VPRO's, but the new functions will not work (taken from the HKS manual)
New features of the V3.24

1) Ignition Knock control: Timing may be retarded based on a knock level vs. RPM map.
2) Atmospheric Pressure: When map sensor is added, fuel can be corrected by load vs. barometric pressure trim map
3) Water Temp and air temp short/open values (not important)
4) Fuel Tank capacity and fuel consumption tracking
5) Power Holding time: Can adjust the amount of time the VPRO is on after key is off.
6) Fuel Trim sub map trim range improved
8) Feedback correction adjustable range is improved.

That said, Sam says he has tuned the older versions, and the new features work..sooooooo...maybe this was lost in translation.

Either way, if you can get a good deal on ANY Vpro, just grab it.
