LOL! That was a good one, Well you know this hobby is like a crack addiction, so if you consider modding your car "crack" and im a vendor. Then "crack dealer" does make sense, sort of lol.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

actually UTEC is 10 load sites, but rpm increments of 250 from 0 to 8000

so, in the usable rmp range, really a 10x28

+1 on the saving your money on the expensive heads... they will help make things more effecient, but for a average 500rwhp power goal, not needed...

go with arias ED pistons, eagle rods
1/2" head studs, hks stopper headgaskets
gtm cams, rev up oil pump...

and you'll be good to go, can't wait to see you finally get your car going!

I'm trying to decide if going with GTM cams $1165 and GTM Stage 1 heads $1913, stay with the Unichip and then wait for another year to accumulate funds for FCON/fuel system is best way to reach my goal. Or would it be better to get the GTM 0 Stage heads $1067, no cams and put those funds toward getting the FCON and fuel system now. I know this will only cover half the costs of going FCON, but makes it a much smaller pill to swallow.

Will the cams/heads substantially lower the boost required for my eventual hp goal for that much less stress on the motor or will going with the FCON , be the better/safer way to go right now?
OK 1st of all u will never hit a safe 500 or 550 without fule system so thats a must, add to it the F-con which will make ur goal so easy and even safer to tune and so easy smooth good flow in power.... so these r a must other wise no 500 or 550 if there is no fule system... second thing is if u had the choice after the fule system and the F-con and had a lil bit of money left i will deff. go with the cames and not the head, all u need to do is port and polish the heads and the intake and u will b fine... thats my advice for u and good luck....

Is there a general consensus of how much more whp is gained from adding cams to a built block with FI or how much lower psi is needed to reach a particular whp goal? Is it 20-30whp and/or 1-2psi or what?

but won't the heads and cams make the engine ACT differently? it'll be quicker revving, smoother, etc.? and the powercurve can be wherever you want it by choosing the cams correctly.

I have no experience, so I am just saying what I would like. Fcon would be nice.

I agree with you there man, if I was this addicted to Crack, I would have been dead a year ago... ... LOL

Hopefully my 3 main suppliers would be kind enough to give a deadbeat, crack smoking, Z fanatic a handout every now and then considering how good of a repeat customer I am J/k
