Default took my car to the dealership...

welll after 2 weeks of tryign to figure out whats wrong with my car i took it to the dealership.. they are experienced with 350z and turbos they jsut build a stillen stage 3 and aps tt built longblock so i thouhgt i would give them a try..basicly my car throws it self to safe mode and acts really funny and saying some sensors are bad when they are not. they checked the voltage of everythg and everythign is normal all the sensors came up good. we took the unichip out and we didnt get bad codes then with the unichip it threw bad codes so our guess was the unichip got fried or the stock ecu for some reason so im waiting for a utec to come in this week and install it and go from there...

now i have an 06 350z and the guy said the utec might not work because they tryed it on their aps tt built motor z and it was no good... everyone ive asked has said otherwise so idk.. will the utec work for an 06?

also i need some base maps to program so i can drive it for a tune if anyone can help me out...

I thought there were issues with the UTEC and the revup's. You might want to talk to Dave (DaveFunction2ND) on here. He did one of the first TNetics on an 06 with a UTEC. He might have some better info for you, but I do recall there was/is an issue with the ECU still pulling timing over the UTEC. Not 100% on this though.

+1. UTEC + RevUp = timing issues in the lower RPM range (2000-3500). Bad juju for stock block FI as this leads to detonation, which leads to... well, BOOM!

Would recommend that you look into a stand-alone and/or get some serious support from UTEC and a great tuner (sooner rather than later). Call Dave@Function:TUNED for some assistance in the interim.

WTF?!?!? I was NEVER aware of this! I have an 05 revup stock block with greddy twins and just spun a rod bearing....guessing from detonation. I just ordered all my internals too. I hope the timing issue isnt true...

I was told that the UTEC had problems with Cam timing on the the Revup, but would work, is that true.

The utec can not control cam timing yet. We are talking about ignition timing.

My 2005 G (rev-up) with JWT's and the UTEC is working fine, although we did have some stumble in the 2000-3000 area that had to be tuned out. Maybe it was that....

Never said it wouldn't work, just said it has issues with the revup motor.

From what I understand, the ECU on the revup is very aggressive with its ignition timing even to the point of stomping on or otherwise hindering a piggyback like the UTEC (god help those running emanage with a revup). I think most people with revups are either dealing with the utec as best they can, or waiting for another EMS solution.

My friends custom TN Revup + UTEC had alot of part throttle and WOT hesitations and stutters. He would get them tuned out every week and every week a new issue would pop up. He could really never get a clean run down the track with it...he was so dossapointed in the kit/car that he ended up going back to stock.
