Congrats!!

What's the problem with the UTEC? I've heard other APS TT owners are running it without problems.

I bought the utec because everyone on this forum who has it were very satisfied. When I bought it, it was installed with the latest version 2.8d instead of the version 2.2 or 2.4 you guys use. It really sucks to tune the car. Very hard work. unichip is a piece of cake. I repeat, it's my personnal opinion.

Nice job, is the oil cooler a custom set-up, and is that the nismo real diff cooler as well. The ECU is a pain I unless you are very experienced with it. AEM is on the way for me.

Nice setup bro.

On the UTEC it sounds more like a tuner problem than a problem with the product itself..

We really tried everything. Maps from turboXs were very bad, maps from some other people wouldnt work either. It was a real pain in the *** the new software. But it could be done, if you worked two weeks on it. If you have a Utec, can you post your map to me, that is my last effort, If you are willing to do so. Thx
Ps: Love your car! It was an inspiration for me with your movies to go FI

Thanks, I'm glad I could help. However as of right now I'm on Unichip with a custom dyno tune and has done me well.

I plan on using UTEC on my build however. Good luck.

Great stuff. I see you are planning on running alky/meth injection. Is that after an engine build?

Very nice setup!

Did you decide to switch to the 3.5" dp's at the last moment because that one pic shows the 2.5" dp bolted to the turbo. What is that flange on the 3.5" dp???

On a side note, am I the only person running the APS TT without the aluminum heat shielding on the exhaust manifolds? Mine are ceraminc coated along with the exhaust housings, and dp's, and I haven't seen any signs of stuff melting.

I already had put them on. Its just the fitting piece for the original exhaust system. I love my 3.5" dp. When the car is spooling up you really get terified. Dyno tuning will be for monday. We are waiting for an installation sheet for the unichip. Its the latest version and a little bit different. Monday I ll post the numbers. The car has done a few dyno runs on the Utec and they were very promissing.

ok, from now I am selling my Utec. I really used it for like '2 days' with dyno testing. Brand new. If anyone is interested, let me know.

I had mine coated as well with Cermakrome. It has help up extremely well, it still looks just like the following pictures after 25,000 miles:

On a side note, I'll be trying the UTEC instead of the unichip comes the Spring. It seems quite easy to use, we'll see...

Later,
Dude, you're the reason I went with ceramic coating! I remember when you posted the pics and I pm'd you about it. My parts are coated with turbo black.

I'm with Kemp on the UTEC. I've heard too many ppl having issues with it. One of the local import tuners, who was tuning BrokeZ's car (PE TT, UTEC), told me it was buggy and not to get it. I'm waiting on the AEM and Hyrda.
