I just picked up a recent issue of Super Street magazine while in the airport and it had a review of the Top 100 products at SEMA. In there, I happened to see that DEFI is coming out with Red Racer Gauges!!! I googled "Defi Red Racer" and didn't come up with anything.

Does anyone have any info on these. I assume that they will be just like the Blue Racers, but with red or amber led lighting!!!! Now, I can replace my Defi D-gauge boost gauge with a Red Racer that will look perfect during the day as well as a night. The D-Gauge matches perfectly at night, but not during the day.

 

That sounds nice. I hope they will make them in 52mm though. I still like the warning function of the BF series. I wish they made the BF's in 52mm. That would be perfect.

 

 

Hope so...those "Blue Racer" ones are gay. Wish they had just kept the original Amber ones...

I can't scan the issue I had because I threw that worthless piece of a magazine away. GAWD....how I hate all the import tuning magazines.....But I do buy them once in awhile hoping for a bit of enlightenment.

 

I spoek to TEIN USA yeasterday; they are the US distributor for DEFI. According to them, these gauges should be available by mid year.

they are stand alone gauges; they have black tinted faces when off, and they will light up red or amber.....not sure which yet. They are identical to the Blue Racer gauges they came out with last year, but these will be lit in red, I assume.

 

I just go these from a friend who specializes in JDM parts. Going in the car later this week.

Guages are fine, I just like the defi's a bit better. It doesn't mean I'm going to change em out, just wanted to see some pics if they truly are coming out in amber.

 

IIRC, tein said they wouldn't be available until the latter half of the year.
