The location of the blower can not have a negative impact on it's effeciency other than heat soak or piping routing due to the location.

All the best on your project.

I think you always have to be concerned about contaminants in your engine bay, but honestly if you have ever really looked at you intake, you would realize that no matter how high you place your SC, its always going to be a concern. Your idea for this SC seems pretty sound so far. Keep up the good work. Cant wait to see the next steps.
It is going good actually. I have since gotten my intercooler. However, I ended up getting a custom made crank pulley from Unorthodox Racing and it should be in on the 24th of this month. So look for a nice update that week when I install it and space out my alternator and power steering and get the supercharger mounted.
I'm going to follow your project all the way as I have a very special interest it it's outcome. Please take digitals and post as it will keep us checking back and following the phases. Good Luck!

Hey zYouLater...You going to the Z fest at the end of the month ?
I will definitly keep everyone informed as to the happenings with my project. I just have to wait for this pulley which has taken close to two months to get figured out and made. Once I get it installed and figure out the belt size I will start working on the front end and getting the v-mount welded up.
Actually, since I got back from the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb and have not had to work on the Porsche I was able to install my soli motor mounts I made.
I have to say that the solid motor mounts feel great! Since I have the clutch to handle it shifts are instant and the throttle response is improved. There is a bit of vibration at idle but nothing that I can't tolerate.

Can you throw me a bone.. Like what belt?? What will you go with?? I know my application uses a 8m pitch with 30mm width.. 110 teeth..
What kinda help are you looking for specifically?

On top of that this requires a custom crank pulley with an 8-rib in the postion the A/C 4-rib was and will push the alternator belt out a couple hundered thousandths which I can just space them out further.

I'm going to go with the standard Gates Micro V belt to begin with since I doubt I will have any issues with it strength wise. We have been using a gates 6-rib belt on our Porsche 928 that we just got 3rd place at Pikes Peak International Hillclimb with and have never had any problems with it. I think that using the belt to turn only the supercharger is a huge benefit and increases the reliability over turning all the acessories with it.
