Default APS vs PE TT

I am having a hard time deciding what turbos I am going to choose for the 06 rev-up engine. These are the two kits that I am looking at. I am looking to get arround 450 WHP.

PE TT
1. Cast Manifolds coat it (Jet-Hot)
2. Upgraded injectors 510cc
3. Upgraded springs #3
4. Tial BOV
5. HKS Fcon pro
6. CJM Return fuel system
7. Water cool lines

VS

APS TT
Original KIT (out of the Box)

HELP choose . Please vote.

I think that the APS simply has a better design then the PE and the customer service is not too good at PE if I remember correctly.

Easy....APS with coated manifolds, FCON and CJM fuel system

Sell the Unichip/boost controller and fuel system from the stock APS kit.

The first thing that comes to mind when I see PE is bad customer service.

And when I see APS, I think of quality, sophistication, and nice numbers.

Customer support at APS has been pretty spotty for me.

APS TT kits are high quality because their price tag is at a premium over most other kits. You get what you pay for in this case. Their design however has a few issues like most of their counterparts, i personally hate the internal wastegates. I would have prefered they moved the turbos farther back and lower to make room for an external wastegate setup. What is the point of sizing a pair of turbos that can produce +600 hp on a 3.5 liter if the wastegates cant?

I thought you where going with the PE? You should just deside on your own because only you know what to look for in a kit. What are your wants in a turbo kit? Like you said anyone can make a kit to blow your engine but the kit that is more reliable on a stock block should be your #1 consideration.

Also this poll will not prove anything only that there are more APS owners then they are PE.

He already has both kits, I think he is deciding which one to actually use and not sell

Agreed.
The PE kit is relatively rare as compared to the other TT kits out there.
I think that all of the kits have the potential to create awesome, reliable, power if you include the right add-ons with a trustworthy tuner.

I like to be different. PE TT for me!

Default I have both (Long Story)

MasterJ36

Thank you for the clarification.

Prisilla,

I am sorry for the confusion, I have both (long story) the PE TT with the parts (above) and a used original APS (below 3,000 miles) if I keep the APS I will leave it the way it comes no upgrades. Both kits looks good to me, but it has been hard to make a desition since I belive that the PE did not had a fair shot at the Z magazine turbo shootout (http://www.nissansportmag.com/shooto...shootout.html). My goal is to install the safest kit on my car (goal 380-400 whp) with a potential to grow to 475whp in the future with the best turbos (IHI vs Garrett), I can not get much information on the IHI.

Thank you
Cesar

I'm producing 400whp with the APS TT at 8.5psi and I enjoy it very much. I have not driven/ridden in a PE TT car but I'm sure it's a good system as well.

That said, I believe you will enjoy the APS more and you can always upgrade fuel system and engine management when you want to go bigger.

Good luck

11' second PE TT car here! With everything you listed above! Cool thing about the PE kit is that you can use the APS 3.5 testpipes with these turbos (I have them). I bought mine used and they are working perfectly.
