Default A look under the hood of the new GT-R...thoughts?

Just curious as to what the resident FI VQ experts think.

Holy Sweet Mother......those look like blowoff valves to me!!! Woohoo!

I'm crossing my fingers we get the twin turbo version since there have been rumors of two engine configurations running around here in the US.

Who wants to bet the turbo manifolds are a direct bolt on for the vq

Looks like a twin turbo V configured motor, and a VQ front case.....

Who wants to bet that even if they do bolt up they don't fit the Z chassis in some other way shape or form (i.e. the hood)?

Looks to me like the new design for the VQ35HR ( dipstick in front center), Different manifold for turbo with twin throttle bodies and independent runners on IM, Also seems to have recirculating BOVs on each intake tube... Cant see much else. First time I have seen this pic, thanks for the post!

may have been for another car, but no one else has captured shots of what is confirmed to be the GT-R powerplant. (other than these shots of course)

It's definately a VQ3xHR variant. The actual displacement, and turbo package is still unconfirmed. I like the dual plenums...very nice.

I've heard 3.7L a few times, but won't count on anything until Nissan officially releases the specs...

The dual plenum / tb / intakes / recirc valves setup is SICK! Can't wait to see one of these in person

Nah, the one on the regular VQ35HR is boring looking once you take the cover off. It's not a split plenum, as seen on the GT-R.
