Default APS ST External Wastegates are in!

I'm not sure if anyone else has them in yet, but I got a call from Irshad @ GRD yesterday... APS EW is in. I'll probably get my installed in a few weeks or so once the weather gets better and the salt clears. I'm not sure how many GRD has, but if they're reading this.. better hold one for me!

I assume this is it? Or are you talking about the twin turbo?

Replace with APS' web site. Blanking out links is bush-league IMO.

i dont think it is rocket science to make one. i am sure a good shop should be able to make something comparable for the TT kit.

GTM is making an EWG setup for the TT kit. It'd be nice if APS actually gave a sh*t about us TT guys. Thanfully, there's great shops like GTM to pick up the slack.

I can't wait to see you guys with the external setup. The EWG will definitely be a big improvement. I wonder how many of you guys will convert it to an open dump.

Does anyone have more information on this? Are you sure it's for the APS TT kit? Any website? Pictures?

George at GTM told everybody about it in his thread. He said the kit is definitely in the works and his car will be the first to use it.

You guys do know the ST wastegate design is different than the TT kit right? It's not as simple as making a new a downpipe on the TT.

LOL. No crap you had a ST. Obviously everybody doesn't know the difference or else Sugar wouldn't have made the easy comment to me.

To be honest I am not sure at this point if we are going to pursue the APS TT ewg relocation kit. It would be very expensive ( new manifolds ) and probally not worth it. I myself am going to be switching to the APS Extreme kit.

Sorry if anyone has been let down by this info, but I have a feeling a EWG kit is in the works by someone else

I totally understand. A complete ewg kit would have required new exhaust housings on the turbos. Otherwise, you'd still have the flappers to deal with. The cost of all those parts would be really, really expensive. George, do you know if the Extreme manifolds can be used on the standard kit?

Well would we be able to say get the gt28hybirds and the manifolds off the extreme kit and fit them on the stardard kit?

you wouldnt need new housings or downpipes, all you have to do is get the puck welded into the shut position. all you would need is a wastegate outlet welded onto the manifold.
