Vortech Bypass Valve...How Many Threads?

Was doing a search to see how many threads should be showing on the screw for the Vortech bypass valve. Over a year ago I know it was discussed but I cant find the thread. Also is it possible for the BOV to go bad over wear and time and should they be replaced after a certain time? Thanks

At least 6. I think I have 8 showing.

Yes ...6 or 7 threads . It could be more or less . You have to adjust it down a little at a time till you get compressor surge . Then back it out a little till you dont hear it any more .
