Default orderd a vortech kit

Is there anything needed to install it? or some way to make things go easier? I see that i will need a tap for the oil pan right? any other hoses , harneses.wires so that will make it install better and easier? I orderd from sharif and was a great experiance with all of his advice and assurance.
so if any 1 can help a 50yr old newbie i would be greatfull. it's going on a 2005 ZR manual tranny

There have been plenty of threads like yours . Try a search to see what you come up with . I'll be turning 50 in a couple months also . The Vortech will make you feel younger . lol

read the instructions.... and know what you are getting into.
seriously!
the 3/8 NPT tap (its really a 5/8 pluming tap) is hard to find and not available at your local hardware store. got to buy that online basically.
also you will need a crimper tool that clamps the oil/fuel line fittings.
also a harnes can help out a bunch on hooking up the SS box. but not necessary for $250.

if you are going to do it by yourself and dont have a lift I suggest not doing it urself.

Roger, one thing that will make wiring process easier, but not really required, is the autosport patch harness. This way, you do not have to cut/splice into your stock ECU harness. We have them for $275 if you need one. Again...not required, but does make the install easier, and also allows you to remove the SC without any signs that the ECU has been touched.
