Default GReddy EVO II and Turbonetics?

Just about ready to install the Turbonetics kit and I was planning on going to the local recommended exhaust shop after the install and having my evo II modified/adapted to work with the TN downpipe. My guess is having the GReddy y-pipe hacked off right before the first resonator, which looks like a 3" pipe, what do you guys think? Has this been done before?

That's what I did, and a few other people on the boards have done. Go on youtube and there's a few videos of that setup as well....

As mentioned that is nirmally what people have done, weld in a "reverse" y-pipe.

Although the EVO2 is not the best for flow and FI, a little restrictive when you get to the mufflers.

The mufflers are restrictive, or the piping? The piping seems to be a decent size...

The mufflers, the piping seems to narrow down inside the muffler, look in the muffler from the rear.

Diwun67, I have this same setup your looking for that Devon at Forged Performance did for me. I took pics for you, but don't have away to post them here. If you will, just PM me your E-mail address and I'll send them to you. They welded a flange from the TN pipe to another behind where the resonator was. It made the kit alot quieter than it was with headers and tp's. You look at my pics and I'll think you'll like what they did.

The EVO TT should be good for at least 500-550 whp... I think GTM has big numbers on this exhaust.... I have the AAM dual 3.0" and I might swith to the EVO TT.. It flows enough for my needs and still has excellent clearence for cars that are slamed... Plus I like the exhaust note as well...

Overall a very good compromise for FI...

I'd have to get a reverse y-pipe for a TD exhaust though, good thing about the EVO II is you can cut off the y-pipe right before the first resonator and have a piece fabricated and welded on to bolt up to the TN DP, but westpak bummed me out about the somewhat restrictive mufflers...

I had the same set-up you are looking for and it flowed enough for the turbonetics. Only reason I took it off was to go louder.

Only way to know if it flowed enough is to know what power you got and at what psi and what your dyno curve looks like.

It is not about just the power but the area under the curve and the shape of the curve, also were you tuned after changing the exhaust?

^^ Iknow.. I just wish I have the dynos.
I was still on the flash when I initially got the exhaust and nothing basically changed from the exhaust. If I remember correctly, the curve was almost identical and power numbers were + or - 5whp which probably came from other factors..
