Greddy Kit
Good afternoon,
I have a 2004 a Nissan 350Z. I bought it with Twin Turbo GReddy kit (Twin TD05-18G 8cm2 ):
I have the following questions for maintenance and extra modifications that I might want to add in the future, I would appreciate it if you could answer my queries.
First, I would like to know what are the maintenance parts that I need to worry about? Such as:
Filters for the turbo
Recommended oil
Duration for changing spark plugs
Anything I need to Maintain or look out more frequently.

Also, the guy I bought it from asked me to change the spark plugs. In the installation manual this part was mentioned but I cannot know from the online sites which ones they mean:
"Use of GReddy Racing Spark Plugs ISO LONG #7 or NGK plugs (colder than factory) is recommended with this kit."
Could you please give me the part # from any site to buy it?
Regarding upgrading my kit:
I believe that the current boost is around 5, if I want to go to 8 or 9 what would be the necessary modifications required in order to have a daily driven reliable car.
Kind Regards,

Oh man.. where to begin???
First, what other mods came with the car? Fuel, tune, exhaust, etc.??? We must know those things, before you can get a good idea on what you should be looking for. Also, do you have any gauges? I'm guessing no since you said you "believe" it's at 5. I WOULD NOT mess with boost until you take care of the supporting mods. An out of the box Greddy kit is a time bomb waiting to happen. I have the same kit, but with many more supporting mods.
Let us know what else came with the car, so that we can properly tell you what to do/expect.
Also, for plugs, go one step colder than stock (NGK). They're very easy to change and i do so after every other oil change. I like to be safe as that's probably over doing it. I also go one step further and use Sea Foam every other change as well. Filters... Depending what kind you have, you need to clean them every so many weeks. I don't use the stock Greddy filters, so i clean mine differently than the foam filters.

You can also go with the copper one's instead of iridiums, which I would preffer, as I don't really see the need for iridiums. But that site doesn't have the copper one's listed.
As mentioned before, what other mods do you have besides just the Greddy kit?

Thank you guys,
I know my case is a bit complex...
I have the full greddy standard kit with E-Manage with 440cc Injectors (with 4 aluminum fuel rail spacers)
I also have greddy suspension kit (don't know the exact specs)
and finally i have Greddy exhaust system with manifold.
I don't have a boost gauge or boost controller (planning to install one of each) any idea what should i go for...?
I just took it to a workshop who deals with greddy stuff but he told me he won't be free until next week
I think I am also facing a problem with some loose parts, coz when I downshif the car dies on me sometimes... any idea?
also when it's idling the RPM goes down more than it's suppose to and makes some cracky noise like it's going to die!!!

Do you know if you have an upgraded fuel pump?
If not, I'd get the Walbro fuel pump immediatley. You also need to get a return fuel system if you don't have one. From personal experience, I preffer the CJM stage 2 return fuel system.
I'd suggest to get some gauges very soon, and put that thing on the dyno to see how it runs and what the a/f ratio is currently. Do you know if the car has been tuned with the e-manage or if its running the stock greddy map?

Sounds like you have the basic out of the box Greddy kit. I'd recommend a return fuel system (cjm stg.1) and a walboro 255. As for engine management, the Emanage blue that comes with the kit is pretty much a ticking time bomb. Ask whoever is going to be tuning your car what they are comfortable tuning and get that.

Demmar, if this is an out of the the box Greddy kit with no additional modifications, please be careful. Without timing retard, even at 5 psi, you can experience detonation. Not sure what octane fuel you have in your area, but if its over 95 octane (ron+mon/2) you should be ok at 5psi. Beyond that, you should get a return fuel system, a UTEC for proper tuning, pressure sensor, and a walbro fuel pump.
Do you have a blow off valve yet?
Let us know if you need anything.

demaar11, nice to see more people from the same region. first thing stop boosting your car till you get a boost gauge and a wideband, you can buy them from Intraco in shj.
as everyone said you'll need a walbro fuel pump for now and a return fuel system if you plan to go over 7 psi. you'll need to ditch the emange blue that came with the kit ASAP, I suggest to get either a EU or Unichip.
what version of Greddy exhaust you have? EVO2 or EVOTT ?
PM me if you want a guide to where to take your car to have it checked/repaired...
