Default Dynojet Tune of JWT TT 700 BBs from VRT

Here is the tune we worked on for the track with this car. Nice wide band of power. Thanks to VRT for delivering what I asked for, Jim Wolf and Clark for the great turbo kit. Looking forward to getting it out on the track now and working out the aero kit elements. Then running it.

Congrats it looks good. Why do you have the picture of the car covering the a/f?

Mike has a real creative streak and loves to play with music, videos, pics, etc. Just has fun with it. The A/f is pretty much just level right across the band, but I can ask him to send the plot without the picture if you would like it "unobstructed".

I will get you some pictures next week. The car is getting some work done to it, specifically getting the APR wing painted oem ivory pearl, except for the vertical end flaps which will stay carbon fibre black, and the stanchion supports painted, and the front splitter and bumper painted. There were some nicks and small tears in the bumper from hitting things on the track (a piece of half shaft from a ruptured AWD car in front of me going down through the "Dogleg" at Buttonwillow at 120+mph was one dueling scar, for example) that I wanted to spiff up. So we will get that addressed. There is a picture of the car at Cal Speedway in this month's Sport Compact Car Magazine, page 49, embedded in the ad for Enkei wheels.

But here is a picture of the old dyno on the 530's for comparison.

And then a tune on the same dyno with the 700's before we adjusted the tune for the track on the dynojet.

I think it is actually closer to 13. Probably should get a tanker truck license for it. But with all the cooling mods I can just flog it around Laguna Seca lap after lap and the stabilized water temp is about 95 C.

Looks great Eagle....you will have a blast with that setup. And the boost and power levels should keep the heat at a very manageable level on the track. I have found a run my fastest times with slightly lower boost...in the 12-14psi range, so it prohibits me from getting too lazy in the turns....thinking that I can catch up in the straights.

Excellent point (as always!) Sharif! We still have to take a page from the book of the "momentum" cars and be as efficient and fast as we can be on corner exit, such that the power advantage we have is not wasted. IT still all comes down to driver skill. One of the nice things about working with Mike is that he is a driver. He gets out there on the track, as you do, and really gets the feel of what his cars are doing, and why, and then back into the shop to fiddle and tweak and get it right. And every car is different. I think that if you get out there and drive (and you don't have to be a top rated SCCA jockey) you understand so much more about what is happening, and it makes you a better car builder. You also get to have some serious good times and write it off on your tax return..which I can't do! If somebody comes back to you and says, you know, when I take it into and out of turn X at the ABC raceway, the car does "this". You immediately have an understanding of the five or six things that may be going on and some thoughts about how to address it. That is INVALUABLE to creating a high customer satisfaction index!

I'm surprised to see that you're running the HKS exhuast. What diameter?

Three inch, if I recall correctly, but not positive. Been a long time since I fussed with it. Now that I am over fifty I have memory "leakage" issues with some facts once they get more than a year old. Not to the point where I enjoy instant replay as much as the real deal, but getting close.
