We tested the Blitz Throttle Controller today, and it definitely works. Install is a snap, literally. No splicing etc, just unplug your accelerator pedal and plug this in.

In the most aggressive mode you notice it immediately even backing out of a parking spot. The engine is snappier with revs jumping more than before, similar to the effect you get with a lightweight flywheel. While this device adds no power and simply opens the throttle quicker (seen in diagram below), it does make the driving experience more fun.

Thanks for testing this out Hal, appreciate it.

Now is this just re-scaling the signal or is it actually improving the response time?

How does it feel on SP1 as the seems to be the one that makes the most sense, since the SP3 will basically put you at WOT at 55% throttle or so based on the graphs above.

Anyway for you to datalog this and compare?

Thanks again, looks like we found a new mod for our cars, that is relatively cheap as well!

It was tested on a stock car today, so I am not sure on response time. I can setup the Haltech Platinum to log accel position and throttle position every .005 second and compare stock vs Blitz.

We are finishing up another car with 4.2L NA stroker and Haltech - I think this would compliment it nicely and answer your question. That will be fun - an ultra-responsive lightweight, rev-happy, torquey engine...

That sounds like a nice engine, can't wait to see that power curve.

If you get a chance, and are able to install/log this unit on a Haltech car, that would be great. I just want to see exactly what the unit is doing.

Thanks.

I have it on my 05Z, definately "feels" quicker, but I am curious to see if it actually changes the speed of the throttle opening. I believe it does becuase the car is able to easily break traction, pretty violently even on SP1.

You're right though - SP1 is the best setting for daily driving -- feels like a very different animal.
