Default Vortech SC installed and dynoed

Well I figure I might as well post here too even though I frequent g35driver more. Anyways I had a long adventure with my SC install which took a total of 3 1/2 months. Ridiculous! I bought the blower used and it had problems with the bearings and the bracket itself, so the whole unit had to be shipped to vortech for repair. Lucky for me, it was not under warranty either so vortech billed me $500 for repair. On top of what the shop(s) charged me, i ended up with a hefty bill. But the car is back now and i can finally drive it (kind of) because as mentioned, 1 of my sideskirts were damaged at the shop. So they're repairing it at the moment and i'm driving around embarrassingly with only 1 sideskirt. But anyhow heres the engine bay and dyno:

FI Parts:
Polished vortech
3.12 pulley
gatorback belt
jwt oil pan spacer
split second box
1 step colder plugs
defi boost, fuel pressure, oil temperature
innovate wideband A/F gauge
greddy catch can

Im currently boosting at 7psi... i am however not running the gates belt. It was funny because I provided the shop with a new gates belt, however, they thought it was a used belt so they replaced it with a new gatorback belt. Im wondering if thats the reason why i'm boosting only 7 since I should be getting 9 psi with 3.12 pulley no? The belt was already tightened by GTM and tuned there.

and my favorite video of my gauges!

and much thanks to sam@gtm and george@gtm for answering all my pms consistently! I just hope I get my sideskirts back soon!

Nice.

That sucks you bought a bunk kit. At least you were able to have it fixed. Don't sweat the side-skirt. People usually only see one side of your car at a time anyway.

So you're using the supplied fuel pump and stock injectors right?

Any idea what duty cycle your injectors are at?

I bought the kit used.. so that where all my troubles were.. i probably still saved a little bit compared to buying it new, but it was definately not worth the hassles. I probably ended up spending a lot more because i went to 2 different shops.. but i would pm your nearest sponsor for a quote if you're interested. I'm glad GTM found my problems though I was getting a bit sad with all these issues..but it was worth it in the end!

and yes im using the supplied fuel pump and stock injectors..im not sure about the duty cycle, sorry.

I'm using the gatorback belt as well. IMHO, it works just as well as gates. After the initial tightening, it lasted about 6k miles before I had to tighten it again. On average, people usually get 1-2 psi less than the pulley is rated at due to the amount of "breathing" mods your car has. The more mods, the less psi, but you will make more power in the end.

i wonder why you are not boosting 9psi >< but I would not anyway till you get bigger injectors. congrats and welcome to the vortech family. u should defenetly try and get a ECU flash or something to raise ur idle so it dosnt sound blunky and get ur rpm to 7100.
