Hey everyone I am planning on going with the vortech s/c in a couple of months and I wanted to make a list of what I am getting to see if I am missing anything. Before everyone tells me to search I have and I have read Muzzys install and a bunch of sentry65's posts
Heres what I plan on getting
-Vortech tuner kit
-Utec
-AAM fuel return
-Walbro 255 pump
-5/16'' motordyne iso thermal
-440cc injectors
-Oil pan spacer
-3.12 pulleys with a Gates belt
I already have a Topspeed Pro-1 exhaust and test pipes. Im hoping for around 380 to 400 rwhp. Thanks for all the help in advance.

Other than that consider a clutch/fw, should run well.

While the stock clutch/fw is fine on your set-up right now, I doubt anybody would think my recommendation on looking into that isnt valid. 400whp with 330ft/lbs or 400ft/lbs is much more than factory levels. Also, you are assuming he wont be racing the car hard if he does that stock clutch is gone.

btw does anyone know if running 5-10 laps consecutively around like a 2 & 1/2 mile roadcourse as hard as you could blow your motor if you were runnin 400 whp? just seems like all that power would pop a hole thru a cylinder or somethin if you ran it REALLY hard for like half an hour straight.
I think it totally depends on the tune, the fuel octane, and cooling provisions on the car as well as maintenance and how on top of things you are
you could have a great tune, but if you go racing with regular pump gas with no extra cooling etc, you can hurt just about anything. It's better to have overkill on things than to risk it without it and end up hurting something

I trust my VQ to the guys at AAM, they tune it real good and warrenty their work. Mike will tell you if he is not %100 sure about the setup.
there is a member on here that has the Vortech and runs the 9psi setup just like mines and tracks his car. he has a video of it tracking someware here.
