Question wideband

how important is it to have both banks? I have one gauge sitting in the middle of nav - not so attractive looking..

Just from preliminary testing, we have observed some noticeable differences between the two banks. Nothing cylinder trims doesn't clean up though. I suppose having a wideband in each cylinder would be ideal, but the temps pre-turbo are too hot... 6 EGTs? In a normal street setup this would be overkill if you weren't looking for every last HP considering you could just add a buffer of safety by running it a hair on the rich side.

I'm using dual channels. I wouldn't suggest otherwise.

Don't know. I'm using a standalone wideband with data logging.

just get a bung for each side........that way you can check them out once in awhile. obviously, this is not an ideal setup, but it gives you the ability to see what the difference between banks are.....just not at the same time.

What were your initial findings between the two banks - much difference?

90% of the time, they are very close. However, that other 10%, you can see some definite differences. IMHO, there is no reason to get a wideband if you're only gonna monitor one side of the engine.
