Default Road trip with boosted Z ??

Hey Guys,

Hopefully these arent stupid questions!!.....

I'm planning on driving my car from Edmonton (Elevation: 668m/2191ft) to Vancouver (Elevation: 2m/7ft-sea level). The drive is about 10 hours. Do I need to worry about the change in elevation?

Also, will the 10hour highway drive be okay on the turbo?

I have the APS ST running at 91 octane.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks!

should be ok, I took my twin turbo 300zx on a road trip to florida and back, about 17 hours each way. That was after I just done a twin turbo conversion, I had just rebuilt the whole engine and only had like 200 miles on it and it performed great.

Should be fine, if your not playing around you should be in low RPMS and no/low boost when cruising.

I think a # of us have taken long trips with turbo'd cars. I would sugest just cruising and using your low boost setting if you have one to save on gas.
Keep an eye on engine/water temps and you should be good.

I drove 800+ miles from Georgia to Michigan on a barely broken in motor with no troubles at all. Is 91 octane the most you have available?

94 octane is availiable where I am starting and where I am finishing. Not sure about the ride in between though. If I could run 94 that would probably help?

Make sure you check your oil level too!! That **** killed me on my drive from Ft. Drum, NY to Ft. L wood MO, and resulted in catastrophic failure!!(on my last car before Z)
