I tried searching and I couldnt find a definite answer.
What kind of modifications need to be made to make the 350Z Vortech Kit fit on a G35, both non revup.
Thanks

Nothing I dont think. There is no exhaust work with the vortech. Everything bolts right to the front of the engine and you have the same exact engine. The only thing that may need to be done is the removal of some of the foam in the front bumper when you go to run the piping for the intercooler since 350z's dont have that foam

ok thanks, before you said that this is the only thing i had to go by as posted in the vortech FAQ.
"- the 350Z and G35 vortech kits are a little different. Some custom fabbing might have to be done to make one fit in the other type of car"
Any idea why the kits have different part numbers though?

Search the FI Classfieds for 350Z Vortech kits. There are a few where people ask about putting them on a G... Lots of misinformation but in the end I believe it's not a big deal.
Basically the kit is identical, the only difference is that the timing control box. Basically the head unit is the same, the pullies are the same, the bracket is the same, the tubes are the same, intercooler the same, oil feed and drain are the same.
Now if you are trying to adapt a non Rev Up to a Rev Up, then the brackets are different and other things.
On top of all this if you have a G35 Auto Sedan, the kit is not made for it. So you basically will need to modify the tranny lines, the fan, and there is this one tube that gets in the way by the crank pulley that needs to be moved. On top of that the split second box will not work so you might need to get it custom tuned.

Naw the bracket is the same.
Basically the 2003-2004 Nissan & G35 kit is the same system now. The earlier kits they used a different air filter, but now Vortech uses the same filter for all their systems. So the only real difference is in the split second box.
Now, the 05 G35 kits, only differ in the tunning accessories, where they used a different FMU and of course the split second box differs too.
The Rev Ups are different but the standard kits are the same.
If you break down each assembly in the kits you will get this:
350z
*4NZ110-033 - Mounting Bracket Assembly (Same as the G35)
*4NZ130-026 - Oil Feed Assembly (Same as the G35)
*4NZ130-036 - Oil Drain Assembly (Same as the G35)
*8N101-350 - Intercooler Assmebly (Same as the G35)
*4NZ112-010 - Discharge Assembly (Same as the G35)
*4NZ112-035 - Inlet Assembly (Same as the G35)
*4NZ238-088 - FMU Assembly (Same as the G35, however the 05 G35 uses a *4NZ238-078)
*4NZ101-068 - Fuel Pump Assembly (Same as the G35)
*The split second box (which is different)
Now this is for the standard kit only. If you have questions, just hit me up...818-340-9229 ask for Tony...I don't mind answering questions.
(oh...some of the vortech part numbers in their install manual may be different. This is because those part numbers were printed out when the system first came out. Those part numbers are no longer active and have now been changed to new onces, so the parts can be used in both the G35 and 350z.)
