Default Powdercoating the vortech mounting plate?

Do you think this would throw off the clearances and alignment of anything? I already left Vortech a message and email to see what's up.

It has been done multiple times with no reported issues. I know of at least 2 on here, there are just too many "Vortech" and powdercoat" threads to find any posts....

Its just common sense on re-assembly. Just to cover all the possibilitys, any place there is a metal to metal mount (Plate/Block, Plate/spacer, Plate/pulley mount) scrape or dremel or file the coating off.

Its not so much a clearence issue (Good Margin for Error here) but a down the road loosening issue.

In time the powder coat will break down at those points and open the possibility of a loose connection ( Like removing a shim and not compensating by tightening the bolt)

That goes for regular paint also. Or in Hi Tech/Precise situations---chrome
