take out everything vortech gives you for the fuel setup. install the walboro 255. do not drill holes in the assembly. drill holes in the fuel regulator. remove the yellow siphone on the bottom assembly. tune the SS box/utech with the setup.
if you run the stock SS program with the walborro pump it will not work and you will have the problems you say you are having.
can I make it more clear? tell me how. Help me help you.
this is all for the 7psi setup only b/c the 9psi setup is diferent

He does not have the ss box Muzzy he has the utec. This is starting to make more sence maybe you should get the 440's like D has. I am sure there is a way for it to work but if you just upgrade the injectors you wont have to replace your fuel canister assembly you drilled.

i believe u have 2 options.
1) take out the fmu and just run bigger injectors like 440cc with the walbro pump and try to see if the utec can lean out the fuel at idle. - bad gas milleage with this option.
2) get new pump canister assembly and install stock pump and get the aux pump to connect with the fmu and stock injectors. - i have my used aux pump if u need it (60 shipped).

2. If you have ditched the FMU and have the utec with a walbro and stock injectors then a return fuel system is a must for safety. (AAM has a system that uses the stock fuel rails) for about $500.0.
3 A tune.

This is also a good option, fuel return or 440cc injectors. He has the modifid fuel canister so that should only nerrow down his options to larger injectors.

Not convinced larger inj's will be all he'll need. I have the walbro and 440inj's and the FMU/Aux fuel pump and had it tuned with a 11/12 A/F ratio all accross the RPM..W/O the FMU and Aux fuel system I don't think I'd be at 11/12...A fuel return would eleminate the Vortech fuel system as well as adding a significant increase in reliability by eleminating all the extra fuel lines and components..

I want to try what muzzy said and just ditch the FMU and just run the 255 straight into the fuel rail like stock... but we did drill the holes in the bottom of the fuel assembly so what i will that affect?
Anyone know where i can get a whole new fuel assembly?

JC... so what do you suggest? Going with bigger injectors or fuel return? Keep in mind my assmebly has those 2 holes drilled in the bottom...
Also... why is my exhaust blowing cool air on the drivers side and hot air on the pass side????
Thanks in advance for all the help fellas...

Personally I would go with the return system. Safer and eleminates the crappy Vortech fuel system..
Stock injectors will have you at a high inj pulse rate..The experts say stay below 80%.. Larger ones like 440 will certainly accomplish this.
As for the exhaust temp delta what is your exhaust system. Sounds like you have an obstruction or killed your catalytic converter. Is the flow rate between the tips the same? Puzzling

Send a PM to "phunk" he's a member and very knowledgable and can answer the question about the holes.
The exhaust question is puzzling. Is the flow rate about the same?? No obvious leaks?

the only thing negetive about hte fuel return system with the 2 holes in the bottom of the feul pump assembly is that you have to be above 1/4 tank if not the fuel drains out of the pump assembly and the pump those not get enough fuel. I know this because this is my problem right now. I have to pump gas every 3 days

you could have sean 8psi if you have a higher rev limit than stock. this is possible.
but think about it. why would vortech sell an upgraded pully just for 1 psi?
im running the 9 psi pully but I hit 9,5psi @ 7100 rpm instead of the regular 6800 or 6500 rpm
