I recently thought of something about my old turbobuick. a common upgrade for turbobuick owners was going with a 60-1 or ta-49 turbo. I went with the TA-49 because it was very similar to stock turbo in terms of fitment. I knew a few others that went with the 60-1 and are fine with them to this day.

Most of us were warned about heat soak in the engine bay. We made all kinds of provisions to cool the engine down. One such was the oil cooling. There was an unorthodoxed mod some of us did was, using a fuel line cooler and routing up towards the turbo. I never did this mod on my buick, though seems like a good idea for ours.

It's great to see that TN is making a great effort to ensure their kits are working properly and reliably. These types of decisions are the ones that are making me lean towards the TN kit when I do decide to go FI. There is nothing better than good customer service - and it indeed is not dead.

That said - I along with others realize that this thread (along with many others) will be in desperate need of moderation.

Thanks MIA for providing this info.

I have been ok with my kit but I have had it for a while 1-2 years.....So I PM'd him but will wait for the others with issues to get them resolved first. I did not know there were issues with the kit but its great to know that they are going to rebuild it even if its not broken.... Thats A+++ service if I have ever heard of it !

Thumbs up

+1 here. This was a major reason on why I had chosen TN over others as well. Have had mine for a year now with no issues. However, it is encouraging how TN values their customers & backs it up with one on one support as well as product guarantees beyond other manufacturers. THANKS Mia, Ed & Reggie!!!

This is a good move by TN! I think after HIN Orlando, I will take my turbo off an let them do their thing. Although... whats up with that one turbo they had at sema recently.... how much more is that bad boy?

The GT-K? The direct replacement GT-K for the Z is still in testing. They currently have just the turbine section in testing on Reggie's car but will be testing the compressor and turbine section very soon on another car.

Why is this thread dead already? This is a great thread.

I read all the stuff on this forum good and bad. But this is for sure one of the most positive and has been dead for days now. Most negative threads go on for many pages

I have the Turbonetics kit on my G-35 and cannot believe the undertaking by Turbonetics to take care of everyone with issues.

I have put over 20K miles on my car with this kit totally out of the box with the reflash and have never had any major issues. And this is with me doing the install myself.

I cannot thank Turbonetics enough for this offer. I am blown away with this type of customer service. You usually do not get this type of service except with reputible small shops. Just goes to show you that even some large businesses listen and still do the best they can to provide superior service and support. My hats off to all of Turbonetics.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to see members appreciate the extra effort Turbonetics takes to make things right even for their customers without issues. Your kind words are greatly appreciated up there.
