insurance
just wondering what to do about all the aftermarket parts on the car and what you Fi guys are doing for insurance. i mean if you hit someone, is your intercooler covered or body kits and things like that. i have a full cage in the car and if something happened and my insurance looked at my car i think they would just drop me. so is there anyone to go through that will cover this stuff

That's what I did, I simply added 15k in additional coverage. It was only $130 every 6 months. Talk about cheap insurance.
Progressive lets you ad i think 15k in cusotm parts for insurance...if you want mroe coverage you can call them and set it up so they cover your car as the price of another more expesive car that has about the equal value than "your car + the 30k mods"
it does get a lil expensive
i jsut did the 15k protection

There are two way to handle this
First, most carriers will allow up to 25K on a personal auto policy as add on to stock equipment for both comp and/or collision. Check with your carrier. Allstate will allow25K.
Second option would be as stated above, a stated value amount, but this requires a certified appraisal by an auto appraiser. To achieve this, make sure you keep your receipts when you go and this will be documented and added onto the stock vehicle replacement value.

I'v had no problems with State Farm. When i was hit headon 2 years ago in my old car, the day after my accident my agent was ready to write me a check for my car and what was in it, but I had to decline it because I was not at fault. My agent has always been great to us, and we have been with state farm for so long that we no have a none droppable policy.
