Default Will a pt cruiser turbocharger fit in a Z?

If I were reading this I'de be thinking WTF to... but I have to ask...

I dont know anything about turbochargers really, I searched for this but didnt find anything, didnt think I would cuz I mean who's gonna mention a damn pt cruiser on this board? haha . Anyway I know someone who has a turbocharger in there auto pt cruiser, they said I could just have it,they never wanted a turbo & just wants to give it away... but is it even posible of working on a 6 sp Z? I'm thinking it wont but I had to ask.

My Z is still in the garage, tryed to crank it & it just clicks now.... god I hope it's the battery, I have to wait till tomarrow to get a nissan battery & it's ****ing killing me not being able to drive my Z

Think about it. Four cylinder.. six cylinder. That right there should key you in to the fact that it wouldn't fit.

and yes, its your battery if it clicks 99 percent of the time. You should get a battery box if you garage your car a lot and never crank it.

your buddy's got a PT GT?? or is it an aftermarket bolt on? if it's a GT he can't just take it off, it doesn't work that way.

the main reason why the turbo/s would not work on a z is cause the actual manifold is also the turbine housing itself. meaning if you were to get two of these turbos, you'll need to spend the money on finding a turbine housing with a specific footprint and whatnot. PT turbos use the exact same Neon SRT-4 motors.

also the turbos would spool damn quick but will loose so much top-end. those turbos are just torquey

it is the same as a SRT-4, it is a 16g... pretty small... very fast spool...

Don't let any of these people fool you. It will bolt up just fine. Since you have 2 more cylinders the turbo will spool faster and probably push around 550-600bhp at the crank if you get all supporting mods like a flux capacitor.
