yeah we said above that it is a bone stock motor, never opened up. car is full weight from the seats forward. full AC, full powersteering, etc.

we removed the plastic in the back half of the car and some metal cause we knew we would have to get the cage welded in after this time to the track.

basically just a utec, injectors, and a turbonetics single turbo kit.

driven every day on 12 psi on 93 octane and turned the boost up to 15 on C16 for this weekend...

Any reason not to run a synth 10w40 or 20w50 on a stock motor. Wouldnt the heavier weight offer some protection to the bearings on track days. So temps were 250F+? Did the car have an oil cooler?

yeah, we will be switching to a heavier oil from now one when we are pushing the limits. no oil cooler, the car is bone stock, just TN kit , utec and injectors, everything else is seriously stock.

Cant wait until you can crack it open and see if it was actually a spun bearing or a rod failure. 124 traps is complete validation of the dyno HP/TQ number too. Mad props!!!

hahaha this post looks like the devil to me...soooo tempting. but honestly how daily driveable would it be on 12psi without say a return fuel system or even head studs? (i have done about zero research on FI needs)
i cant believe the dyno charts i just looked at in the other thread haha, im in shock about this tn kit, til now i thought ST wasnt worth it.

well not that we are inventing the wheel but rather taking knowledge of turbo kits from other platforms and changing a few things on the basic TN kit.

12 psi daily beaten up badly, we do donuts constantly, drifting, burnouts and full racing it on full boost. i cant believe the motor even made it this long with what all we did to it.

i know its a spun rod bearing, i can hear it
