Default Vortech warm startup problem

warm starts are getting to be a pain in the ****. i have to blip the gas a few times to get her to turn over 100%. cold starts are fine. i have read injector scaling could be the root of the issue or am i just stuck with this problem with my setup?

yeah I think warm starts are a pain for most FI Z/G's, but the superchargers have it the worst since there's the extra crap that has to be turned over when starting. It's even worse with large injectors and race gas which doesn't ignite as easy

Just make sure you have a good strong battery with lots of cold cranking amps

I'd be curious if there are any tricks for better hot starts though

My warm hard start has almost gone totally away since I reduced the fuel preasure . I think he set it at 43psi , it was close to 50psi when it would start hard when warm . In fact the only time my CEL comes on any more is when it does start a little hard . After it starts a few times with no problem , the light goes back out .

I have no problems with warm starts.... Although my Vortech is pretty much stock w/ the 3.12 pulley and I run 96 oct.

I also run with an OPTIMA redtop battery.

Most of the warm hard starts are related to having bigger inj. , walbro pump , and return fuel

mine doesnt have problems actually cranking during warm starts, but it starts for a second then the revs drop and die. I have to blip the throttle right after I start it to get it to idle.
