That hose on the drivers side is more of an Inlet hose to allow fresh air in to the Crank Case, The PCV side is the one that pulls the oil saturated air out since it is tyed into plenum vacuum

Cool ---I dont know where that picture came from --(the OPs) but that is my car -----I rough cut then dremeled ,and seems to me I did a little clearencing at the rediator side, and as you see, vented the Evac inlet to the atmosphere

I wish it was all plastic that needed to be trimmed. I ran into metal which kept me from trimming as much as I wanted too.

It took some time --I have the equip though. If I recall, there is metal sandwiched in the plastic core support. I used a carbide cutter to do the finish shaping then another tip to bevel it out. And, hate to say but had to half moon a little off the radiator side reinforcement to make room for torque movement and clean removal.....No harm done. I touched it up after with some satin black.

Do you guys remove the bumper to remove the filter? Also, did you have to trim a little metal off the ac condenser? My inlet on the sc does not line up directly in line with the hole in the core support. Yours looks as if it does?

I didn't remove my bumper. Cutting is a must if you dont want to mangle the filter too bad.

You know I have 3 G35 fliters for my Vortech Z and I notice a substantial difference everytime I put a clean filter on. So I was changing out my filters every 2 weeks with clean ones. Put on the new K&N fliter last week and it feels like I still have a new clean filter on. Hope that helps.

Do you think its a bad idea to go with the 2.87 even with a good UTEC tune?
