don't be "hatin". Stillen is what it is and if folks want to spend thier money on it.....then go for it! I see plenty of articles on "blown up" VQs on the really high hp installs. Haven't seen many write ups on NA bolt ons having problems or the lower hp Stillens except for bad install jobs.

vortech is a SUPERCHARGER
prochagers is a SUPERCHARGER
HKS has a SUPERCHARGER
these setups dont blow motors but 1 out of the 4 just barely performs above N/A with boltons.

But the twins are being tuned today and ill let you know how the difference feels.I bet its gonna be
The Stillen SC is the most reliable proven SC setup you can get for the VQ. It makes the most low end power and makes about equal mid to high end power of the other SC setups. Stillen is for reliable setups not power proving ones.
It still makes 350~+ to the wheels which is great. No bolt ons will ever do that.

Out of the box. NO.. after upgrades NO. you are wrong.
answered that already. you are wrong
in your wildest dreams.. out of the box Stillen makes a little over 300 whp .. which is maybe 10 more than bolt on's. Not bad for thousands of dollars and a new hood eh? you are wrong

More blown motors with Stillen? What are you thinking? I know of only 2 and both were probably installed by lackies.
The Stillen kit is designed to run like an oem car with a supercharger. Get it???? It is not designed to be a dyno queen like some of the cars on this forum.
I know of very few people who claim to make 300whp with bolt ons and still drive on the street. I don't believe you know many if any. Last I heard the Crawford shop was up to 299whp and N-Tech Engineering was just over 300whp with a race car. Those are the only ones I know of.
As to the 350whp with the stillen kit that is probably overstated by 10 to 20 whp. That could be dyno differences.
I just don't get why some of you bash stillen. They are a quality place, with quality parts and service.
Most men with ***** don't have to belittle others to prove their manhood. Everyone knows they are real men by their actions.

Really? Show me these statistics then. I got my info straight from the owner of Nissan Sport Magazine. I know a ton of people with Stillen's, that are reliable. And I have never ever heard of any blown motors with Stillens that were installed properly.
I was definitely not wrong on anything I said. You though are. Stillens makes more power lower and mid range than any other SC package dyno proven. The Vortech's require you to build boost by RPM. The Stillen's you do not and get full boost from idle. At high RPMs, around 5.5k+ the Stillen will start to drop a little.
And again Stillens does make 350~ range to the wheels if installed properly.
If you got a Stage 1, then yes 300 at the wheels is about right, Stage 2 325~, Stage 3, 350~.

Heat soak on the Stillen is bad. Ive ran Keiths car down the track 3X, hotlapping it. Every run was .1-.2 slower. That same 100 degree day I ran back to back 11.9's with my TN setup, and never ran above 12.1...
Not my cup of tea, but its FUN to drive. Most dont like it for the performance/$ ratio, you spend $5000+ on the kit, then have to deal with the hood, painting, blah, not for me...

the reason Stillen is bashed is because for a couple more G's you have a serious set-up...people like to get what they pay for..honestly i wouldnt pay money for a limited setup...i want high HP and not just level off and a moderate hp thousands and thousands of dollars later on realizing WTF why cant a squeeze more hp out of this thing!!! Thats why stillen s bashed. Bc the cost versus the outcome are pretty bad!!!
BTW zprincess did you ever get your rims? bc i think a set TE or LE would look hott on the ride

SOLO-dont be a mag racer/quote them! Post ONE DYNOJET plot of a 350whp Stillen and Id be impressed. Truth is Ive been on this site over 4 years and never seen it. Closest Ive seen was actually Keith with his Stage 4 doing 341WHP on a DYNAPACK that reads hub hp, not whp, so it read higher than usual. Truth is most Stage 4 kits are 310-325whp, not close to 350whp at all!
