Hmm is the actuator not the spring on the waste gate? confused :0/ so I can run 8Ib boost even with this 12Ib actuator?

You'll probably end up seeing 10-11 psi on wastegate pressure with those springs. Not exactly what I'd want to run on my stock block.

I suppose you could get ahold of some Forge actuators and use different springs. PM an APS dealer here on the board and ask them.

Hmm 200 bucks... I just noticed its the whole actuator, can I just replace the spring in the current actuators or is that not possible?

I haven't seen the ones on the tuner kit, but I know that you cannot open up the ones on the normal kit.

wonder if anyone wants to trade me actuators...

just recieved a response from APS to my question:

"To change the boost setting on one of these twin turbo systems you will need to change the wastegate actuator to a different strength. This can only be done by purchasing a new actuator."

Now I am really confused.. I assumed the Tuner and the standard kit both have actuators and asked APS if they can be swapped...

They said this:
"Yes they would be interchangeable depending on what actuator has been used in the first place as we do not supply an actuator with the TTS/05 turbo system." (Tuner System)

but their website says this about the tuner kit

"In addition, the APS Intercooled Twin Turbo Tuner System is specified with high poundage 12 psi wastegate actuators ready for high boost pressures to deliver extreme power potential from built VQ35 engines."

So... let me go search thru the boxes and look at the turbos!!! So confused.

They must be thinking of the Extreme kit, which does not come with wastegates I believe. EDIT: Oops, I'm wrong, the Extreme kit does come with the wastegates. Maybe I'm thinking of the EW for the ST?

talk about thread jack.

go away, please.

U need to stop talking and start reading. a simple search will solve all your issues.

PS. if you dont know what a wastegate actuator is (and you dont) you have no right even posting in this forum, let alone cursing an APS tech.

Ah the answer is revealed, here is his response:

'Sorry I should have been more specific as they no longer come with actuators only bare turbo’s, but I am assuming that you have had your system installed before we changed this.

Because of this the actuators on the TTS/01 system should be right to bolt onto the TTS/05.'

wtf lol, i didn't know you could jack your own thread.. damn Aussies are hard to understand, lol j/k.

check out the motoring site in the fi section, joedirt's post on aps ew. i was really on the fence between tn and aps..... after seeing that how they treat customers and having tools like that fellow working for them, i'd hate to have a problem and have to deal with that kind of behavior.

kinda off topic but HKS needs to bring their sht to the states

Quick Reply: APS TT what turbos and are they the same size?
