I would change the oil every 2,000-3,000 miles depending on how you drive, Constantly check the oil level to make sure it is never low, and I would recommend Mobil 1 0-40 for oil.

Enjoy your new kit!

+1. Couldn't be said better. I use Motul oil though. Both are great oils IMHO.

I've had my greddy TT for 20,000 miles and I've changed the oil every 1000 miles and my engine runs extremely smooth. Its ultimately up to you but clean oil is literally the life of your motor. I just can't believe people like Mercedes recommend oil changes every 15000 miles!?

also make sure you do not overfill, the APS turbo drains are sensitive to oil lvel, do not fill past the L or Low mark on the dipstick and always allow about 20 minutes for all of the oil to drain to the bottom to get an accurate reading.

George, do you guys use Mobil 1 0W40 for the built engine as well?
I used to use Motul 10W40, but with so many debates about the tighter bearing clearance and the ticker oil and such, I'm thinking about going back to Mobil 1 0W40...
