400rwhp sc setup vs. 400rwhp singe turb (need comparison)
probably still close to 2 car lengths or whatever IMO
it's really hard to say
there's so many turbo curves out there. Some are setup to have boost come on ASAP and lots of tq, others are setup for the power to come on later

I read your other posts about different final drive ratios, but just a typical outcome say from a 2nd gear roll to the top of 4th or so.

There was a video a while back of 12NV with a Turbonetics kit on a BONE STOCK Z including exhaust racing a Vortech SC car with 400 WHP and 12NV was spanking it all day long... Search around and you should find it..

Also, watch the wideband on the APS TT when he's running. It was sitting at like 10.2:1 the whole time... hahaha. I think that was Yammy's car.

no I think it was something like 340-370whp on the vortech in that video. I think the member was Backagain. And after the video, he did a pulley upgrade, some sorta exhaust something, and a retune making 30-40 more whp

yeah that thread where he talks about it is tricky to find because I don't think it's one of his threads or if it is, the title is something different. I think he just posts the video somewhere in the middle of the thread.
here's the thread of where he got retuned to 400whp at CP Racing:
https://my350z.com/forum/forced-induction/137568-finally-got-car-tuned-thanks-cpracing.html
yeah he was tired of losing to all his local cars - mostly domestics. And there was some friendly competition with them, so he went and upgraded a bunch of stuff then I don't think he ever raced them on his new setup - or no video posted anyway
If I recall, I think he had stock everything except the base vortech kit and an exhaust, maybe high flow cats and that was pretty much it for all of the videos he made
I remember seeing that video of him racing the TN before I bought my vortech kit, and remember he was just way out of his league when he gave details on the cars in that race. That the TN car was making a more whp than him and of course a mountain more tq and so of course he lost when he raced

I found some quotes I quoted from his thread, but still can't find the thread
this one is of interest:
backagain's newer tune/setup as of march 2006:

Still, it was a stock Turonetics ST Z with absoultely other mods and a reflashed ECU (untuned). No excuses that the other car was untuned or whatever, because neither was the ST Z. There are 1000 factors that go into every race. Run what ya brung.
