Default HKS EVC necessary? Input please.

Hello, I will be installing my APS TT but I will be doing so with a stock block for now. In the frenzy of buying parts, I picked up an HKS EVC VI boost controller but now I am beginning to think it is overkill for my ~8Ib of boost setup. I spoke with my tuner and he agrees that the APS boost controller should suffice. Just curious what you guys think.

Actually that was a link to all the threads you have created

It is really up to you, the EVC 6 will hold boost better because it is a stepper motor vs. a solenoid and you would also be able to switch from waste gate pressure to 8psi on the fly. Also if you decide later on to up the boost you will be all set.

In short the APS Solenoid will work but the EVC6 is still better. It just comes down to if you don't mind spending the extra money.
