Default My powdercoated vortech intercooler pipes! pics!

Got a little help from Mike the powdercoater, member 2003z. I had him pc the intercooler and the long charge pipe since they were too large for my oven.

Prep:
simple green to clean
preheated each piece

Sprayed:
1 coat of argent silver
followed by 2 coats of anodized red

Overall i think they look great. I want to take my bypass valve apart and do it. I may even send my intercooler back to mike to get the top/bottom portions coated.

+1, would look really good with red or black couplers.

http://www.turboneticsownersclub.com/viewtopic.php?t=34 for the part numbers. Any Turbonetics dealer can get you the ones you need. Or try www.summitracing.com and look up the part number and you get a general idea of the price as well as decode the color. The standard ones are rated at 30 PSI. The HD ones are rated at 60 PSI..

Let me know which couplers you need. We have quite a few of the black innovative turbo couplers in stock. I might have what you are looking for.

So you powder coated at home? Could you post up a DIY or list or parts you need to do this?

^He did some of these at home himself. I believe the intercooler and long pipe went out to someone else.

Gotta have:

pc gun
air compressor
oven that can hit 450 degrees
tape that can last to 450 degrees
and miscellaneous stuff to prep, clean with
i use wire to hang the pieces and to provide the ground electrode a spot to attach to
