Default If had money, Turbo for Z or ZO6 down payement?

I told myself I would save up know for a turbo kit for my current Z or put it towards a down payement towards a new or used corvette zo6. ****ing tough choice, but I think after saving my money and after school it would be nice to have a vette personally. Lots of people here have fantastic setups, would be great to say you have a turbo etc. but my car might be too old by then, its an 04. Lets hear what you think, faster more appealing Z or trademark power of Corvettes?

Honestly, I don't think I would want a turbo for my Z. I'm just a sucker for N/A power, I guess. I'd either get a stroker kit or do an LS7 swap.

I wouldn't get a 'vette, though. Sure, its got massive power and it'll handle well ... I just don't like the way the steering feels in it, and I just can't seem to get comfortable. I hear the '08s have improved steering, so that might change my mind, but I'd have to test drive it

IMO.....if your NOT going to get the NEW Z06 C6 just save the money to get your Turbo for the Z you'll probably have more fun with the turbo 350Z. Get what you want though.....and not what people say

Z06 is going to be the smarter financial move
but if you're not strangely attracted to the 350Z above most other cars that are affordable, then mod it
you never can sell your aftermarket parts or modded car for anything near what you put into it, but the Z06 can be insured and can sell it later for the normal depreciated value

I guess it depends on if the Z is paid off or not. Mine is personally not, and I would definately pay it (or mine for that matter) off before going FI. If yours IS paid off, go FI and enjoy not making payments on it. I was driving my friends 90 300ZX TT last week (in almost stock form), and it was still a great car to drive. Running great with 144,000 miles. From that experience, I imagine our cars are still going to be enjoyable down the road even though new ones are being released into the market.

I also dream of the goodness of a Z06, but paid off Z makes so much more sense. Just my .02, sir

no he wont. a stock z06 can destroy many tt or blown z's and get better traction.

on that note tt is a lot of fun, but def. get the vette man if ur even considering it. step up.

Destroy many TT? I hope so.... for the price of the NEW C6 Z06 compare to a Z with turbo.

A properly driven TT Z on race gas will decimate a stock Z06.

You can get a used C6 vette for around 40k or less, slap a APS TT kit on that and a couple of supporting mods and you are at 550rwhp, Sounds good to me

This is if you like the vette, I still rather have my TT G35C over a Vette anyday. Not to mention I don't know of many vettes that will be able to hang

Just get the New GT-R. It's allready TT and it will cost you about the same as a new Z06. With a few mods and tuning I'm sure that it will smoke a Z06.

Oh, I forgot that it's also AWD....

I voted to turbo the Z, honestly I love the looks of the 350Z, its a classic sleek styling. If you want an impartial answer 350Z or Corvette Forums are not the places to go. For me its not about being faster than any other guy, it more about enjoying what you have and if turboing your Z will satisfy that then have fun!

Good Luck with decision

I voted Z06. Have about 460+hp to the wheels safely and with a warranty. And those Z06s are pure sex And then if u have money just Cam headers and full exhaust is good for over 70hp!! And its gonna sound SICK . GL even though if it was me I wouldnt care what anybody thought just what I want

I'd either get a stroker kit or the vette.

If you are in Cali or any other states that deal with the "SMOG" issue, I would get the Z06. Can't get sent to the smog ref for being NA.

I'm sure you've had dreams of turning your Z into your ideal car. Keep at it. TT that little monster and personalize it. The Vette says you have money. The custom Z says you have style. But that's just MO.
