Default Help! APS TT Install Questions!

Hey there, i figured I would make a post since I forsee a few questions while doing this install. Im in my garage doing the install right now lol.

First question:

Should I use loctite on the exhaust manifold nuts and the wastegate blockoff plate (aps tuner kit has holes for an external wastegate so they include plates to block off if using internal wastegates which is what the kit comes with, for some reason its not listed on the online parts list :|)
Thank you.

you can if you want to but red loctite is a mother to undo and blue probably will be useless in high heat areas like the manifold,i say no.if you do use red be prepared to heat each stud with torch to snug up or loosen the nuts!

Nope there's no need. And the loctite would not withstand the heat. Only the oil feed fittings require loctite (IIRC that's what APS recommends as opposed to teflon to seal the threads).

LHS Turbo compressor inlet seems to be interfering with the motor mount.. its overlapping, is this normal?

Mine did that too ^^, I'd say it's normal. It'll flex just fine, just make sure you get it in there as far as you can and clamp it as tight as you can without stripping out the clamps.

you can notch the motor mount right where the rubber boot touches it'll make final assembly cleaner and you wont fight with the pipe as much.

alright more questions lol, the first 2 are specific only to the g35 install I believe, since its slightly different then the 350z install. I included 2 pictures of my questioned areas.

4 Questions:

1. The LHS turbo discharge pipe and ac condensor seem to be interfering. SHould I just bend this large cylindrical object? Im a bit unclear as to what lines i should bend. The instructions that came with the g35 adaption kit are a bit vague without pictures. I bent the lines a little bit to get it out of the way of the pipe, but this larger AC line is touching the discharge pipe still.

2. Airbag sensor relocation. In the g35 adaption kit instructions it says to remove the stock airbag sensor mounting bracket. It is riveted on so should I Just drill through them or cut the bracket off?

3. Where did you guys mount your fuel pressure regulators?

4. Did you install the inlet duct before the discharge duct? The instructions say other way around but it seems to be much easier the other way around. If not, whats the reason?

PIctures of these questioned areas on a g35 aps tt install would be so helpful!

Thank you for your help!

Ps, my progress, the water lines are in, oil pickup and pan are in, turbos are in and actually bolted in, and oil drain lines are in. Not pulling the motor isnt as bad as I thought.

Another question, installing the RHS compressor inlet, there is this bracket which is getting in the way, do we bend it or remove it?

Thanks.

It's hard to help you because most of us installed out kits a while back and can't remember all the details. I do remember bending the AC line for clearance and on the RHS I remember it was pretty tough getting the intake to fit.

BTW I just noticed you're from WA. Cool.
