Granted, they need to be tuned together, but timing is where the power is really made! It is a good thing the peanut gallery doesn't want to see timing graphs. maybe that'll be the new trend.
Well... I did say that AFR is just ONE thing that we can "see", and it's not ALL of the tuning that is done on the car...

And to PF, I do not necessarily think that a FAST car has by definition a good tune... a good tune, that is FAR MORE required on a street car than a drag car given the range of conditions it will encounter, requires near-perfect precision in under ALL conditions... not just WOT.. anyway... no matter since it's not really subject to assessment from thousands of miles away.

Listen, no offense here... was just curious, no more no less.

none of my customers are complaining about drivability issues at all. there is a reason that i get 3 to 4 calls every day about people not understanding how to get the utec or EMS of choice to engauge/disengauge soon. we have tuned over 40 or 50 utecs alone this year, learning stuff on every one of them.

i have had customers bring back widebands though because of them thinking that they were broken. "every time i floor my car, it hits 9 to 10 psi and the wideband just stays on 11.4, can you make sure its working??"

trust me, its working...

i fully understand what is needed for a good tune, i dont use the wideband on the dynojet unless i have no other option. it clutters the graphs anyways with winpep. i have road racing cars, drift cars, street monsters and drag cars. i tune each car to the individuals personality and goals. this is my life and what i love to do, no need to critique/criticize....

Gurgen,

I agree with you that WOT tuning is such a small part of the equation, but that is all that people want to see/critique from a dyno graph. In fact, tuning the A:F at WOT is the easy part and the least time consuming. The real drivability comes from tuning all the areas between the what the stock ECU is doing and Full Boost/WOT.

I can't tell you how many hours I have datalogged part throttle acceleration runs up and down Highway A1A.

way to cause flame fests rebelinRI. why not try keeping your mouth shut. it just looks bad on whatever shop you are behind to constantly harass other shops in matters that don't concern them.

Honestly Jeremy,
I like you an am on your side..But when someone representing your shop in their sig, flames me in the same sig, and post negative stuff about me and my shop,it pisses me off.
If the troll boy wants to put up or shut up, he can take his pick from which cars he would like to run...Perhaps Ill run him in my Mazda Speed6 or my wife's Mercedes, and let him "graduate" to my Z or any Z I tuned..
Lets play nice now..We all have some dirt on oneanother.

and if you are tired of the anti whatever crowd why are you causing to an anti whatever in your sig. Sounds to me like you want to cause drama but when the heat gets to you you want to back away reminds me of another member.

Seriously, I know I speak for a good bunch when I say I'm getting tired of post like these turning into garbage. Sorry about this OP.

I'm not afriad to say it but, it seems like everytime PF puts up a thread there seems to be a lot of hot blood coming from the MRC camp. Seriously like I've said before keep out if you have nothing better to say, that is all.

Look on page 3, his signature and post are uncalled for..I would never have posted here if not for this crap..
As far as Dougs comments, that on him.I have nothing to do with Doug other than the fact he gave me a whole lot of money to have a properly built and tuned 500hp reliable rock solid street car, done right the first time out..He honestly should spend more time out driving his car, since it runs so well and others dont even have running cars right now.He should enjoy the N.E. weather while it lasts. He has nothing in his signature reffering to me,my shop or anything related to me..He rarely even refers to us as having done his work unless asked...You could nto be farther from the truth in you post.
