Alberto and Eagle what are your impressions of driving each others car?
I know most people with FI won't allow someone else to push their car hard besides themselves or their tuner.

okay, so I watched the vid and I'm confused...what happen to this happening on a closed course? That's clearly a freeway of some sort...I'm disappointed at the lack of concern for others' safety.

Craziest part of Luie's car is the traction. The lag helps with hooking up, even in race gas with 700whp it hooks in 2nd gear! My car in low boost doesnt have a chance of hooking up in 2nd, and I have wider tires and a better alignment! Powerbands are the biggest difference, his is strong from 5000rpm+ mine is strong from 3500rpm's up. The experience is much different also due to the sound that comes with my car and the open dumps, and my gearing is longer. Overall, both quick cars with completely different habits.

Craig-I know you didnt ask me, but I'll provide my opinion as I also discussed with Luie. With the way the boost hits, a 3.3FD would spool wayyy to slow-I saw a noticable difference in boost response with my swap-it was basically no lag before, now there is some. Of course it would be in "powerband" longer but the negatives IMO outweigh the benefit.

From talking to way2good (the other 850bb owner) I think the lag is going to be their weight in gold, at the track (road course).
At the drag strip the 850 have more than impressed me 11.6 with a 1.88 60ft and a 3500lb car with me in it, and only 480hp. Its pretty cool to shift into 5th and chill out for a second or two before you cross the traps , as in shifting to 5th right at the traps.

One more thing-anything less than a stellar 1-2 shift would produce lag from falling down in the rpm's, in Luie's set-up he definetely doesnt get full boost in 1st gear and he may not even get full boost in 2nd, so with a 3.3FD the first two gears would be laggy...

Your right on it agian!
1st gear on the street no way I will produce full boost.
At the track I was producing 9lbs at the line, I only did 4 runs, everytime the 2step kicked in it produce more boost. I have no doubt I can get 10lb at the line with the 2step. I wasnt able to control the adjustment of the 2 step, so that why its at the shop getting a 2 step controller so I can control it at the track to suit what ever type of tire I will be running, DR, slick, street, track temp, or condition. This controller will alow you to build however "much" boost you need, and launch at what ever rpm you feel is best that day.
I belive My low boost has alot more potential, and room to grow.
This controller is available at Forged Performance. You need a Fcon Vpro

Luie-I wish my cars 5th gear engagement felt as good as yours man, I really enjoyed rowing through the gears in your car. My 5th gear has always been hard to get into, especially at over 7000rpm's..and thats with not even 1 powershift on an 009 version.
edit-what gear oil do you run in your tranny?
